Nectiv is an organic growth consultancy focused on technical SEO, content strategy, information architecture, and optimization for AI answer engines (AEO/GEO). We work with SaaS companies, marketplaces, and enterprise brands to solve complex organic search challenges, from site architecture and crawl optimization to structured content systems and AI search visibility.
We prefer systemic fixes over one-off edits, prioritize by business impact rather than vanity metrics, and ship in stages with validated outcomes before expanding.
The Role
We're looking for a senior manager who will be a foundational hire at Nectiv. You'll own client relationships, develop integrated organic search strategies that span traditional SEO and AI search visibility, and help build the processes and methodologies that define how Nectiv operates.
This isn't a task execution role. You'll be a strategic partner to our clients and to the agency itself, shaping how we work, what we deliver, and how we grow.
What You'll Do
Organic Search Strategy
Develop integrated strategies across traditional SEO and AI search visibility (AEO/GEO) aligned to site structure, content, and authority signals
Separate brand vs. non-brand demand and prioritize opportunities by intent and business impact
Build prioritized roadmaps (3-12 months) using impact, confidence, effort, and dependencies
Translate search demand, intent patterns, and AI discovery behavior into long-term content and site architecture strategy
Conduct competitive search landscape and AI citation analyses to drive our strategic approach
Optimize content architecture for both crawlability and AI extraction
Propose navigation, taxonomy, and page type definitions (current vs. recommended)
Build modular template and component guidance sufficient for engineering discussion
Technical SEO
Lead comprehensive technical SEO audits (crawlability, indexation, rendering)
Conduct log file analysis to understand crawler behavior and identify inefficiencies
Produce engineering-ready specs for systemic technical fixes and one-off corrections
Work directly with client engineering teams to support implementation and validate results
Client Relationships & Account Leadership
Serve as primary point of contact for clients on organic search strategy and performance
Lead client calls covering technical SEO, AI search performance, and strategic direction
Set and manage expectations around KPIs, including AI visibility metrics, which operate on different timelines than traditional SEO
Proactively identify risks and opportunities before clients surface them
Translate complex technical findings into business-impact language for stakeholders at all levels
Provide candid, constructive guidance to clients, including diplomatically pushing back on requests that would harm organic search performance
Process Building & Agency Development
Help shape Nectiv's methodologies, deliverable templates, and internal workflows as a foundational team member
Identify and evaluate new tools across SEO and AI visibility tracking
Design repeatable processes for research, analysis, and reporting
Leverage automation tools (e.g., AirOps, n8n, or similar) to scale workflows and reduce manual work
Build or improve internal tooling and dashboards
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practices
As the team grows, support onboarding and mentorship of junior team members
How We Work
Remote-first environment
High ownership and trust
Systemic thinking over one-off fixes
Strong emphasis on technical quality, continuous learning, and AI integration
Requirements
4+ years of hands-on SEO experience (agency or in-house)
Strong technical SEO foundation (crawl, indexation, rendering, site architecture)
Experience with mid-to-large websites (50k+ indexable URLs)
Multi-platform experience beyond WordPress (e.g., Shopify, headless CMS, custom builds on React/Vue/Angular, Salesforce Commerce Cloud)
Agency or consulting experience managing multiple client relationships simultaneously
Client-facing experience: comfortable leading calls, presenting to stakeholders, and setting expectations
Ability to clearly distinguish between business goals, strategic direction, and tactical execution, and communicate that hierarchy to clients
Comfortable with end-to-end client reporting on organic search performance, keyword rankings, and campaign progress
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Clear written and verbal communication
Preferred Experience
Experience with AEO/GEO or AI search optimization
Experience working on large-scale (1M+ URL) technical SEO projects
JavaScript SEO and rendering validation
SEO automation tools (AirOps, n8n, or similar workflow automation)
Scripting or data analysis (Python, SQL, or similar)
Concrete examples of using AI tools to improve SEO workflows
